Philip A Craig Jr., Founder

Mr. Craig has established BlackByte Cyber Security, LLC after 31 years of advanced automation and security project experience commercial, federal, and national laboratory environments.  As a new technical consultancy we focus on supporting multiple critical infrastructures related to advancing the Cybersecurity of complex automated industrial control systems and integration challenges facing many companies today.  BlackByte's clients include the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), and National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC), where a culmination of research and cyber security projects are being executed to provide next generation solutions for electric power grids.  Our primary goal is to providing closer ties to industry operational needs related to the resilience and security of highly integrated cross-platform industrial control systems.

Within his 36 years as an engineer, Mr. Craig's experience also spans 19 years of national scale security and operational integrity of advanced automated industrial controls in commercial nuclear power generation, electric power grids, RF and wired communications systems, addressing the federal needs of multiple national critical infrastructure sectors.  His former experience as a Senior Staff Cybersecurity Research Scientist/Engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory supporting scientific innovation and engineering for the Department of Energy, Homeland Security, and additional federal coordination with regulatory entities such as FERC, NERC, NRC, FCC, and FEMA have enabled BlackByte to embark on an expanded portfolio.
